This week the big news was that NFTs were dead. As with most of the news this does not comply to my day to day experience with NFTs. In contrary! NFTs are booming. Only not to get rich overnight.

I feel the urge to write something about Hic Et Nunc. I am really enjoying making and buying NFTs there. It feels like a wonderful playground where you can experiment with art and NFTs. It is a real easy going market with people who love to collect and give. And you can start collecting with nearly nothing as there are many opportunities to grab yourself some free art. If you pay attention you can collect a lot of bargains, many artists play with the prices, like the first 10 for 0.1. Then the price goes up. So many possibilities to play around. And the secondary market is definitely there.

I aped in with 30 euros. Started selling NFTs right away and now I have a nice collection of all kinds of art. All incoming Tezos I am using to buy art and expand my collection.

I have this idea for a new kind of organization especially for people who have troubles fitting in. A place where creative people can play and create.

Concept:

Green screen studio where we can record for NFTs, internet TV, 3D.
Server room: Various servers for setting up various nodes. (mining coins and supporting various crypto projects.) Here people can also learn a lot about this new phenomenon.
3D printers
Closed room without clocks specially designed for programming and people who appreciate a quiet environment.
A large office space for all creative workplaces that can function in a busy hectic environment
A place with a stage for performances and events.
DJ Radio booth from which broadcasts are being sent 24 hours a day, live or not.
DJ Booth. Here is just DJ gear and cameras. Here we can stream DJ sets live.
Spaces where people can have conversations. In this room also cameras so that if necessary this can also be used as a podcast room.
Room with game computers and cameras. A kind of booth with green screen behind the seat. Built-in cameras.

We call this the back office together with production. Behind the scenes. All supporting people will also be behind the scenes. Such as psychologists and social workers but also other support functions such as administration and all other serious tasks.

The market for virtual objects in cyberspace will become much larger in the future. I can still remember very well that a colleague laughed at me for an hour that I had paid 350 euros for a virtual crossbow in 2014. Everyone who grew up with the internet sees it completely differently.

A place where there is always someone who listens to your ideas and dreams with an open mind and does not immediately come up with their “so-called reality”. Everyone has their own reality. And that is the reality.

A large creative hub where technology and creation come together.

These are unfiltered fantasies. But I am sure there is support for this. I am looking for people worldwide who would like to embark on this adventure with me.

Hic Et Nunc I need it. Here and now!

This weekend I had a blast with this project called OBJEKT4OBJEKT in which artists were encouraged to mint their OBJKTs for free in order to swap with other artists and build a more diverse collection. I had already read some tweets about Hic Et Nunc, they were not really positive about the cosmetics and the speed so I was never really bothered. I thought one of the many new NFT platforms. But then I read about this free art projekt and it grabbed me right away.

Is it coincidence that I just learned that we all are looking for free rides. That it is some kind of default craving of humans. So thank god I have nothing to be ashamed of And also I am not the only one. Pffffffff!

Hic Et Nunc means Here and now in Latin and it’s a dapp on the Tezos Blockchain. The gas and minting fees are very low which opens all kind of possibilities.

So I got me some XTZ and started grabbing free art. But first I contributed a piece of myself.

152 where grabbed. By 104 different Tezos addresses. 10 was the highest amount grabbed by one address. Now they are on sale for 0.1 XTZ.

186 different objekts from 176 different artists.
I made a spreadsheet with some data. Like prize they are going for now. If I could sell all pieces now for those prizes I would have around 8200 XTZ. And that’s wow. I spend like 6 XTZ on gas fees to collect these. Like 30 euros. Mind Blowing…

And yes I am guilty! When started collecting I wanted more more MORE! Also the blockchain did have some hick ups. So totally by mistake I grabbed more then 1 piece of some pieces several times One piece 3 times…

My first thoughts about the platform itself

It looks basic but has a certain back to basics feeling to it. Minimalistic not too many options. I like that. It’s a bit slow and I get a lot of errors when I want to swap (offering in terms of HEN(Hic Et Nunc)) an objekt. It is slow overall. The loading takes a lot of time. Now I realize how stable the hive blockchain is because I am having some troubles minting on the tezos blockchain.

Still some free art available

Some artists burn all objekts when the event is over. Some put it on the market. And a lot just leave them for grabs. The only rule is there are no rules!

So here are all the works I collected and which were still available for 0 XTZ when I last looked. And as I am a pro procrastinator that is some days ago

Conclusion

I am glad to have found Hic Et Nunc. Here and now is all there is so. Her we are being grateful for all these opportunities given with NFTs. And ready to explore Tezos.

Sociale werkplaats 2.0.

Ik loop al een tijd met dit idee rond. Ik ga het hier gewoon plaatsen en schiet er maar op zou ik zeggen.

Concept:

Green screen studio waar we internet tv op kunnen nemen.
Serverruimte: Diverse servers voor het opzetten van diverse nodes. (minen van coins ondersteunen van diverse crypto projecten.) Hier kunnen mensen ook veel leren over dit nieuwe fenomeen.
3D printers
Afgesloten ruimte zonder klokken speciaal ingericht voor programmeren en mensen die een rustige omgeving appreciëren.
Een grote kantoortuin voor alle creatieve werkplekken die juist wel kunnen functioneren in een drukke hectische omgeving.
Een plek met een podium voor optredens en evenementen.
DJ Radio booth van waaruit 24 uur per dag uitzendingen worden verstuurd, life of niet.
DJ Booth. Hier staat gewoon DJ gear en hangen camera’s. Hier kunnen we dj sets live streamen.
Ruimtes waar mensen gesprekken kunnen hebben. In deze kamer ook camera’s zodat als nodig is dit ook als podcast ruimte gebruikt kan worden.
Ruimte met game computers en camera’s. Een soort cabines met greenscreen achter stoel. Ingebouwde camera’s.
En een ruimte waar gewoon computers staan in rijtjes. Een soort callcenter van waaruit we ook onderzoek kunnen doen of telemarketing. De peeskamer noemen we dat.

Dit noemen we even de backoffice samen met de productie. Achter de schermen. Achter de schermen komen ook alle ondersteunende mensen te zitten. Zoals psychologen en maatschappelijk werkers maar ook andere ondersteunende functies zoals administratie en alle andere serieuze taken.

Dan zou je simultaan een soort winkel gecombineerd met horeca kunnen doen. Wat weer allemaal werkplekken oplevert en mogelijkheden biedt. En een fysieke vendor voor allerlei spullen die we gaan maken. Dan kun je denken aan T-shirts, diverse prints, uiteraard kunst en wat je maar kunt bedenken. Ook heerlijke gerechten serveren uit alle gedeelte van de wereld. Interactief maken met het internet. En als het weer kan leuke feestjes geven met goede dj’s van uit de hele wereld. Gecombineerd virtueel en fysiek. Ik zie het voor me als een plek waar je als content maker allerlei leuke dingen hebt voor het maken van leuke foto’s en filmpjes. Virtual reality.

We gaan nu een tijd in waar virtueel steeds meer gecombineerd gaat worden met de fysieke realiteit. Met de tools die we hier dan hebben kunnen wij grote virtuele evenementen gaan faciliteren. Dan kun je denken aan concerten, dance parties, congressen, workshops etc. etc.

De markt voor virtuele objecten in cyberspace gaat in de toekomst veel groter worden. Ik kan me nog goed herinneren dat een collega mij een uur heeft zitten uitlachen dat ik 350 euro voor een virtuele kruisboog had betaald in 2014. Iedereen die met internet is opgegroeid ziet het geheel anders.

Belangrijk aspect is dat al deze business die we gaan creëren en dat gaan we. Want we zitten overal in met onze producten en diensten en zijn helemaal mee in de tijd. Lopen zelfs voor. Maar we zijn er niet van afhankelijk. Want onze core blijft een zinvolle invulling zijn van diverse mensen hun leven. En dan denk ik dat we met een paar gesjeesde brilliant minds uiteindelijk helemaal zonder financiering onszelf kunnen bekostigen.

Wie kunnen hier komen om te werken / stage / dagverblijf?

Iedereen.

Maar key is een mix van alle soorten en smaken zodat het stigma “Ik moet normaal blijven doen” vervalt waardoor de mensen kunnen presteren in hun eigen flow zonder druk van boven. Druk van boven moet weg.

Een plek waar het niet gek is dat iemand eens in de tijd even een paar maanden weg is omdat het even allemaal niet kan. Een plek waar altijd iemand is die met een open blik naar jouw ideeën en dromen luistert en niet meteen met de ”zogenaamde realiteit” aan komt zetten. Ieder zo zijn eigen realiteit. Dat is zo een beetje de realiteit. Welke realiteit?

Een grote creatieve hub waar techniek en creatie samenkomen.

Dit zijn ongefilterde hersenspinsels. Maar ik weet zeker dat hier draagvlak voor is. Ik ben op zoek naar mensen die samen met mij dit avontuur aan willen gaan.

NFTs Don’t be late at the party!

Let me begin with the definition of NFT:
A non–fungible token (NFT) is a special type of cryptographic token which represents something unique; non–fungible tokens are thus not mutually interchangeable. This is in contrast to cryptocurrencies like bitcoin, and many network or utility tokens that are fungible in nature.

NFTs are going to be a big thing in the future. Think about it! The digital world is a world of abundance. There is enough for everyone. You can consume all data non-stop practically for free. Young people don’t realize that when we (generation X) were young we had to go to a store to rent a video if we wanted to see a movie. We had to wait a whole week until we could see the next episode of our favorite TV series.

Yes, those times were hard but still we all got to the next day, eventually. And of course we did not know any better. Now we have access to all the beautiful art in the world. Digital art is the most consumed art at this moment. Now with NFTs, we can get ownership of digital goods. And that is HUGE! And that’s not only for Art. Also for gaming, it’s going to be a game-changer for sure. I have been buying digital goods for a long time. When I used to play FIFA, I was buying packs like crazy. And that’s all fun, but when you are done with the game you don’t have anything left. Now with NFTs, you can own your digital assets. And you are free to sell them.

I remember, when I told my colleague that I paid 250 euros for a virtual crossbow, she couldn’t stop laughing. When you’re dedicated to something, you are willing to pay for digital stuff. And now with NFTs it’s not just spending money, but it’s also investing. And you know this shit is real when you buy an NFT and sell it for 5 times as much.

That’s also where greed comes in. The whole street and their aunts and uncles are making digital art all of a sudden. I see great artworks from marvelous artists not selling, while the prices are really low and when a guy like Ivan on Tech does a joke NFT it becomes an instant hit. Big Boy Pants, the funny thing is I made one “Big Boy Pants” before that. I’ve sold one. So yes, most people buy NFTs having in mind to flip it over for more. So there needs to be a little FOMO to sell. Also, you can make great stuff but when nobody knows about it it’s also hard to sell. Now we’re gonna see all celebrities making NFTs.

Why would you buy a mediocre piece just because it’s from some famous person who already owns way too much? And owning is a complete farce anyway. Nobody owns anything. When we leave this place we go alone, with nothing but our experiences. We can hope for more, but – in fact – we are definitely not going to bring our stuff with us.

Don’t forget the whole blockchain movement is global. And people in other parts of the world can live a good life with money made from selling NFTs. For you, it might be a cup of coffee while for them it’s a day’s living costs. And how great is that! It really helps people all across the world.

Hive

Hive. Eerst was het Steem. Mijn eerste blogpost op Steem was op 3 Januari 2018. Hoe kwam ik erop. Grappig maar een filmpje op youtube over een token die de porno industrie ging gebruiken. Smart media tokens. Klonk allemaal goed in mijn oren en dacht dat kan het wel eens helemaal gaan worden. Gelijk heb ik een account aangemaakt. Wat gelijk een steem wallet was. En zo begon mijn reis into blockchain.

Waarom nu?

We zien steeds meer censuur door de big tech bedrijven. Of je Donald Trump nu waardeloos vind of niet hem bannen van alle social media is niet de manier. Nu is het Trump straks ben jij het. Hive biedt een blog platform dat gedecentraliseerd is en alles wat je post op de blockchain staat. En dat houd in dat het niet meer te verwijderen is. Je eigen verantwoordelijkheid wordt weer belangrijk. Door Middel van de techniek van de huidige tijd zijn we die eigen verantwoordelijkheid een beetje kwijt geraakt. Het allermooiste is dat het landen overstijgt en je in een ecosysteem komt dat wereldwijd is zonder beperkingen kun je nu zaken doen met mensen over de hele wereld. Hoe mooi is dat.

Wat kan je allemaal doen?

Vrij goedkoop kan je je eigen community opzetten inclusief je eigen token. Omdat de transaction fees er niet zijn zijn de mogelijkheden voor allerlei use cases groot. NFTs maken en kopen. Spelletjes spelen waarmee je crypto kan verdienen.

Gewoon beginnen!

Ik wil iedereen aanraden om ermee te beginnen, Om een feeling te krijgen met blockchain. Je hoeft er helemaal geen geld in te stoppen en je kan iets opbouwen from scratch. Maar als je eenmaal in zo een ecosysteem zit en je hier wat aan het doen bent zoals bijvoorbeeld een spelletje. Dan wil je zelf gewoon geld erin steken want je krijgt zo je digitale behoeftes zullen we maar zeggen.
